Consumer Trends Mean Good News For All of Us

Please watch this video from John Gerzema at TED talks. He  says there’s an upside to the recent financial crisis — the opportunity for positive change. He identifies four major cultural shifts driving new consumer behavior and shows how businesses are evolving to connect with thoughtful spending.

I love the “thoughtful spending” concept.

I love that communities are creating local currencies to sustain their economies.

I love that there is a revolution about food.

I love the company that only uses Twitter.

When you watch a video like this, think about your business, no matter how small or big and how you can connect with the consumer’s careful spending patterns.

What are your thoughts?

With regards to spending, it’s not about more, it’s about better. I love the idea of, like you said “thoughtful spending” and being aware of where we put our money.

I don’t usually think about the power of my buying dollar and when I buy something, I’m actually supporting that company. It’s SO important to be conscious of our spending and the company we’re energetically investing in.

Thank YOU for sharing this video with us all! :)

    :D PEACE :D

P.S. Love the idea of Cow-Pooling to buy meat in bulk from organic farms. Great concept! :)

And a company that ONLY uses Twitter….LOVE THAT!! :)
