In many cultures throughout the world, there is a cultural celebration of emancipation – when you become independent and distinctly separate from your parents. By law, in the United States, it is when you turn 18 or 21 and we have big parties to celebrate that. In some tribal cultures, it happens for a teenage girl when she starts her period as proof of her capacity to bear children. In Jewish culture, it is the bar and bat mitzvah that are coming of age ceremonies for teenage boys and girls.

Many of us unconsciously entered into emancipation as a form of rebellion. We were excited that we turned 18 or 21 or moved out of our parents homes as we just could not take it one more day. It meant growing up and it meant freedom.

In the United States, the entire concept has a historical political perspective as it relates to slavery and so we do not think of emotional and mental emancipation for ourselves.

Emancipation meant and continues to mean freedom – The freedom to make the choices that are suited to us as independent, free thinking adults.

The dictionary definition of “Emancipate” is:

1. to be free from restraint, influence, or the like.
2. to free (a slave) from bondage.
3. Roman and Civil Law; to terminate paternal control over.

Now, a more deeper primordial level of emancipation is being free from the restraint of limiting beliefs and that old programming that just does not serve you.

So,  be deliberate about being emancipated. Emancipation is a powerful way to get your power back. You get to choose what your emancipation can look like.  Gain emancipation and free your mind.

Your Satisfaction Is Guarantee

A potential client and I were talking her business. She wanted to hire me to help her with her business strategy. We talked extensively for about an hour and she had a myriad of issues. I was in a relaxed mode and I did not mind giving her my attention. She was a lovely lady. She had powerful business ideas and had worked on quite a few projects and just before her projects could be launched, she would loose steam and abandon the project.

We brainstormed about her ideas. She had come out of a physically abusive marriage and she had really done a great job of getting herself on her feet. She just felt that what she wanted was just beyond her reach.

She said she loved everything that I told her and she definitely wanted to work with me. She asked if she could just sleep on it.

The next day I received an email from her stating that she had decided it was not the best time for her to work with me.

I emailed her and told her that was fine and I sent a couple of resources her way.

She emailed me back and said that she felt bad that she had decided to not work with me but she wanted me to know that she did not feel confident about my abilities because I could not guarantee her that working with me will create an exact amount of income that she needed.

I was relieved to read her email. I love my perfect clients. My perfect clients know that coaching does not guarantee an outcome by me! It guarantees an outcome by them!

This was not a perfect client! Every time I invest time and energy in an imperfect client, I get even clearer about who my perfect clients are that I go ahead and attract even more perfect clients.

Let us get very clear about what coaching is and is not.

The coach cannot guarantee what outcomes you have because you are the one that gets to take action. I am not a sports coach where I am barking orders at you. I respect you too much to bark orders at you and force you to do what you really do not want to do.

However, I will help you overcome the blocks that keep showing up in your life that indicate you are not comfortable moving forward.

You just have to show up with an open mind and open heart.

As it is with anything, your business is an opportunity to clean up your money energy and get really clear about the energy you are presenting to the world.

Your business is not an unruly child that you have to raise just right so it will present the family name well. It is a creative endeavor that supports you in all aspects of your life.

When you work with a coach, pick and choose what you want to implement that the coach brings up for you or introduces you to. You do not have to do everything in any particular sequence. Some things will feel right and some will not. Exercise your ability to choose and enjoy that choice.

Now, I will guarantee this: Your vibration rules! If you believe that your time with a coach is a wise investment, it will be.

If you focus on what you want and partner with the coach to help you focus and prioritize, you will succeed.

If you believe in yourself as the most spectacular person on planet earth who can accomplish anything she wants, then you will accomplish anything that you want.

The problem is that most people do not believe these things and require some support to get to the place of believing these things.

Enter your coach!

If you do most of the “work”, not even all the “work,” you will see profound results.

Coaching is about you. Not about the coach.

So on that note, let us discuss what a perfect client looks like to me:

1. Is in some sort of transition: work, money or relationship.
   
2. Has a corporate or business background.
3. Is perfectly clear about the type of business she wants to launch; or
4. Has been in business for about 2 years and wants to grow her business.
5. Already, or is ready to, intertwine her business with her spirituality.
6. Practices the law of attraction.
7. Has the experience of creating money before and just wants to do it bigger in her business.
8. Is sweet to work with.
9. Is diligent about her coaching.
10. Loves to read and write.
    

Calling, all perfect clients, 2010 is definitely your year!

Rudolph, The Red Nosed Reindeer.

A guy named Bob May, depressed and brokenhearted, stared out his drafty apartment window into the chilling December night. His 4-year-old daughter, Barbara, sat on his lap quietly sobbing. Bobs wife, Evelyn, was dying of cancer. Little Barbara couldn’t understand why her mommy could never come home. Barbara looked up into her dads eyes and asked, “Why isn’t Mommy just like everybody else’s Mommy?”

Bob’s jaw tightened and his eyes welled with tears. Her question brought waves of grief, but also of anger. It had been the story of Bob’s life. Life always had to be different for Bob. Being small when he was a kid, Bob was often bullied by other boys. He was too little at the time to compete in sports. He was often called names he’d rather not remember.

From childhood, Bob was different and never seemed to fit in. Bob did complete college, married his loving wife and was grateful to get his job as a copywriter at Montgomery Ward during the Great Depression. Then he was blessed with his little girl. But it was all short-lived. Evelyn’s bout with cancer stripped them of all their savings and now Bob and his daughter were forced to live in a two-room apartment in the Chicago slums.

Evelyn died just days before Christmas in 1938. Bob struggled to give hope to his child, for whom he couldn’t even afford to buy a Christmas gift. But if he couldn’t buy a gift, he was determined a make one – a storybook!

Bob had created an animal character in his own mind and told the animal’s story to little Barbara to give her comfort and hope. Again and again Bob told the story, embellishing it more with each telling. Who was the character? What was the story all about? The story Bob May created was his own autobiography in fable form.

The character he created was a misfit outcast like he was. The name of the character? A little reindeer named Rudolph, with a big shiny nose.

Bob finished the book just in time to give it to his little girl on Christmas Day. But the story doesn’t end there. The general manager of Montgomery Ward caught wind of the little storybook and offered Bob May a nominal fee to purchase the rights to print the book. Wards went on to print Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and distribute it to children visiting Santa Claus in their stores.

By 1946 Wards had printed and distributed more than six million copies of Rudolph. That same year, a major publisher wanted to purchase the rights from Wards to print an updated version of the book.

In an unprecedented gesture of kindness, the CEO of Wards returned all rights back to Bob May. The book became a best seller. Many toy and marketing deals followed and Bob May, now remarried with a growing family, became wealthy from the story he created to comfort his grieving daughter.

But the story doesn’t end there either. Bob’s brother-in-law, Johnny Marks, made a song adaptation to Rudolph. Though the song was turned down by such popular vocalists as Bing Crosby and Dinah Shore, it was recorded by the singing cowboy, Gene Autry.

“Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” was released in 1949 and became a phenomenal success, selling more records than any other Christmas song, with the exception of “White Christmas.” The gift of love that Bob May created for his daughter so long ago kept on returning to bless him again and again. And Bob May learned the lesson, just like his dear friend Rudolph, that being different isn’t so bad. In fact, being different can be a blessing!

The most critical thing for you to reinvent your life is to create an abundance mindset. It is important to know it vibrationally that you live, breathe and flow abundance.
